Research Team

Jian-Min Yuan, MD, PhD, is Principal Investigator of the Singapore Chinese Health Study and the Shanghai Cohort Study, Arnold Palmer Endowed Chair in Cancer Prevention, Associate Director for Cancer Control and Population Sciences, and Co-Leader of Cancer Epidemiology and Prevention Program, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center; Professor of Epidemiology, Epidemiology, Graduate School of Public Health, University of Pittsburgh. He has studied biomarkers of environmental exposures and cancer risk for over 30 years.

Woon-Puay Koh, MBBS, PhD, is Co-Principal Investigator and local Principal Investigator at Singapore for the Singapore Chinese Health Study, Professor, Duke-NUS School of Medicine and Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore, Singapore. She has studied dietary and lifestyle factors for risk of cancer and other chronic diseases for more than 15 years.

Yu-Tang Gao, MD, Co-Principal Investigator and local Principal Investigator at Shanghai for the Shanghai Cohort Study, Professor of Epidemiology, the Shanghai Cancer Institute, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai, China. He has studied environmental and lifestyle factors for risk of lung cancer for 40 years.

Renwei Wang, MD, MS, is Director of Data Coordinating Center for both the Singapore Chinese Health Study and the Shanghai Cohort Study, Senior Scientist at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. He has been the Director of Data Center and Statistician for the research team for more than a dozen years.

Jennifer Adams-Haduch, BS, is Laboratory and Biorepository Manager for the Singapore Chinese Health Study and the Shanghai Cohort Study, a senior research specialist at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, the University of Pittsburgh. She has managed the Yuan laboratory and the biorepository since 2011.

 

Siew-Hong Low, Project Manager, oversees the daily operations at the field center for the Singapore Chinese Health Study at Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore.
